You can delete your TrackMonez account and data at any time. Here's how, and exactly what happens.
Your account is removed immediately, and any remaining data is erased from our systems within 30 days.
If you can't access the app — you've lost your phone, changed your number, or already uninstalled — email us and we'll do it for you.
Or write manually to simpiprasad50@gmail.com with the subject "Account deletion request", including the mobile number registered to your account.
We will verify it's you. Before deleting anything, we'll send a one-time password to the registered mobile number. This protects you — it stops anyone else from deleting your account. If you no longer have access to that number, tell us in your email and we'll suggest another way to verify.
We respond to deletion requests within 72 to 120 hours.
| Your mobile number | Deleted |
|---|---|
| Your display name | Deleted |
| Your email address, if you gave one | Deleted |
| Your account record and login credentials | Deleted |
| Push notification token | Deleted |
| Your OTP and authentication logs | Deleted, unless we're required to keep them for security or by law |
| Any invite links you created | Revoked and deleted |
Everything above is erased from our systems within 30 days of your request.
1. Your expense tracking data is on your phone, not on our servers.
Everything you tracked privately — transactions, categories, budgets, balances, savings goals — is stored only in local storage on your device. We never had a copy, so we cannot delete it for you, and we cannot restore it either.
To erase it, uninstall the app, or go to your phone's Settings → Apps → TrackMonez → Storage → Clear data. This is permanent and cannot be undone.
2. Shared bill splitting entries stay in the group, shown as "Deleted user".
If you were in a shared group, your past expense entries stay visible to the other members — but with all your personal details removed. You'll appear only as "Deleted user".
We do this because those records belong jointly to everyone in the group. If we erased your entries entirely, everyone else's balances would silently become wrong. Other bill splitting apps handle it the same way.
If you want a group's records gone entirely, ask the other members to delete the group before you delete your account.
You can deactivate instead. Deactivating hides your account and stops all notifications, but keeps your data so you can come back later. Go to Settings → Account → Deactivate, or email us.
A deactivated account with no activity for 24 months will be deleted automatically.
